Date night photo shoots are so back!
This was my first date-night photoshoot after taking a two-year break, and can I tell you how amazing it felt?
Ever since moving back to California in 2024 and returning to my hometown of Los Angeles, I couldn’t wait to pull out my cute outfits and spend weekends capturing photos against the most aesthetically pleasing backdrops. But, as we all know, life sometimes has other plans.

It took some time to navigate the curveballs that came our way, but now that we’re finally in a place where I can breathe again, you’ll be hearing a lot more from me and my favorite creative outlet—my baby, my blog.

Because I’ve been away for so long, I’ve accumulated quite the collection of outfits, and this Jean Paul Gaultier dress was at the very top of my list to wear. Paired with my Amina Muaddi heels and my dream Chanel bag, the little fashionista in me was definitely feeling herself.

I usually choose restaurants based on my outfit, so Cecile Trattoria felt like the perfect match for this Italian-food-loving girlie.

The restaurant itself is beautiful, and the food was good. But baby, the drinks? Shoutout to the bartender because the lychee martinis were the best I’ve ever had. Hands down.

My husband and I always start dinner with a Caesar salad, and this one was large enough to share. I especially loved the addition of the breadcrumbs. We also ordered the fried calamari with garlic aioli, which was so good I couldn’t stop eating it.

For my entrée, I ordered the truffle pasta. To be honest, it wasn’t my favorite. I found it a little bland and wished I had tried the carbonara instead. I think the bold flavors from the calamari and salad may have made the pasta seem even more underwhelming.

And of course, if affogato is on the menu, you already know I’m ordering it. As the self-proclaimed Affogato Aficionado of my family, I have to say this one did not disappoint.

Overall, I would absolutely recommend Cecile Trattoria for a date night. One thing that really stood out was the customer service. The host and servers were all incredibly sweet, welcoming, and attentive throughout the evening.

Another bonus? It’s located in downtown Glendale, making it easy to continue the night afterward. You can stroll over to a nearby hookah lounge or catch a movie just a few blocks away.

This night we opted for a movie and kept the drink going at the theatre.

I’ll be back with more date night recommendations very soon!

As always, here are my outfit deets:
