The Burks family has entered the Christmas card chat!
To know me is to know that I am over the top and I love being extra. Obviously I’m going to take the opportunity to get glammed up with my boys for Christmas.
Every time I think that I’m going to take a more casual approach to the year’s Christmas card, it’s like who am I kidding? This is the only time of year where I can have my kids and my husband suited and booted and it makes absolute sense.
Personally, I feel like families do photoshoots in casualwear throughout the year so this is the only time of year where you have an excuse to go all out and of course, I am going to take it.
But if I’m being completely honest, these types of shoots take the life out of me. Trying to get the kids dressed and out the door on time feels like a complete fail.
And the fact that I was bold enough to do all white had my nerves on edge because if you have kids, you know that a white outfit only lasts for about five minutes before they get messy.
However, I am so proud of my babies for staying neat and clean for our shoot. Looking at our pictures, I am so in love with how they turned out. As much as my youngest was having a moment, he pulled through for his mama and gave us a couple of smiles.
Any parent knows that family pictures are always so stressful but once you get them back, it makes it all worth it. And these are just another reminder of how grateful I am to have these gems to look back on.
Merry Christmas from our little family to yours!
