The Barbie movie is this weekend and I can’t wait to drag my husband to see it with me. Again, it’s one of the perks of being the only girl in the house that my boys let me get away with just about anything… Even if it means dragging one of them to see a movie that they want no parts of.

Pink Boots: Dries Van Noten
I really love that I’m living in an era where I get to relive my childhood. I just got to relive Super Nintendo World earlier this year and now Barbie!
As a little girl who grew up with a few barbies in her toybox (because I was more of a tomboy), I’m looking forward to the nostalgia this movie is about to bring me. I think the one thing that Barbie showed us little girls is that we can grow up and be anything that we want to be
With her ever-evolving looks, careers, and adventures, Barbie has captured the hearts and imaginations of generations. From a fashionista to an astronaut, a doctor to a teacher, Barbie has portrayed a wide range of characters, each with their unique qualities.
In a world where women can be anything they want to be, I wanted to have fun with this post and ask myself, “If I was a Barbie, what character would I be?”

Pink Heart-Shaped Sunnies: Loewe
With a passion for fashion, a career, a thriving household, and a loving family, my Barbie character would need to exemplify the art of balancing multiple roles. I realized I wear too many hats to nail it down to just one. So if I came in a package, I would need accessories for each of these roles to be included:
The fashionista
Whether attending high-profile business meetings or simply having a coffee catch-up with friends, I try to leave an impression on everyone I meet. My passion for fashion not only enriches my own life but also inspires those around me to express their individuality through clothing (I love that I have girlfriends that will ask for my opinion on how to style their outfits).
The career girl
Ambitious, determined, and skilled, I’m a force to be reckoned with in my professional life. Balancing my roles as a career woman and a homemaker is no easy task, but my dedication allows me to excel in both realms.
As a professional, my accomplishments serve as a testament to women’s capabilities in the workplace. Through hard work and perseverance, I try to be a role model for other girls aspiring to have thriving careers of their own.

The homemaker
Behind the scenes, this Fashionista-Career Girl Barbie runs a well-organized and warm household. I understand that a happy home is the foundation for my family’s well-being. Whether it’s planning delicious meals, maintaining a tidy space, or creating a welcoming atmosphere, I know how to strike the perfect balance between my career and home life. I take pride in my homemaking skills and find joy in creating a haven for my family to come home to.
The loving wife and mother
At the core of my heart lies my family. I am a devoted wife to my supportive husband and a loving, nurturing mother to my kids. Even with my busy schedule, I find quality time to connect with my family, cherishing every moment spent together. Whether it’s assisting with homework, engaging in creative play, or simply sharing stories of the day, I know that being present fills my family with love and happiness.

I would like to think that my Barbie character is a living embodiment of the modern woman who can gracefully juggle a successful career, a fulfilling family life, and a passion for fashion. She teaches us that with determination, we can achieve balance and excel in all aspects of our lives. This Barbie inspires us to be unapologetically ourselves, to chase our dreams relentlessly, and to nurture our loved ones with unwavering devotion.
She is me.
