Y’all, I’m outside can you tell?! One of my besties had her bridal shower a week ago and it was seriously the cutest theme. Who doesn’t love a good theme, am I right? Her invites said to come in tea party attire so you know I had the best time shopping for my outfit.
When I think of tea party, I think of pastels — more specifically pink. I’ve never been a pink type of girl before but this season’s fuchsia pink season is having a whole moment and I am here for it.
I swear I shopped on every site until I found THE dress. It was pastel, flirty, sexy, and so fun. I found it on ASOS of all places and should have known to look there first. As a word of caution this dress runs a little small so I would size up. I’m usually a size 4 but this fit like a size 2. Luckily I was able to squeeze into it with the help of my girls.
It was a no-brainer for me to combine a soft pink with a bold pink. I had been eyeing these satin Jimmy Choo pink heels for the longest time and finally I had a reason to get them. Then again, as a lover of fashion, it doesn’t take much to convince me.
They hit all of the points for this season’s hottest shoe. They were fuchsia, a wrap around heel, and the heel itself was a little thicker. A real dream shoe for the girly-girl. I love how the wrap around detail makes my legs look too!
On a scale of one to ten, the comfort level is at an eight with ten being the most comfy. While the sole and the height were perfect. The back straps rubbed against the back of my foot so it made it uncomfortable for my right foot.
If you’re familiar with The Attico, then you know that one of their signature colors is also a fuchsia type of pink and their 8:30 PM clutch automatically came to mind when I got the Choos (pun intended) because they were both satin. Thanks to Nordstrom for carrying both and saving me on shipping costs.
Now for the final touch — the tea hat. This was the easiest part because as soon as I searched for tea hats on Amazon, this pink one popped right up. I don’t know if Amazon read my mind but it made things so much easier and it literally took me less than five minutes to decide on a hat.
I am so, so happy for my bestie. This day has been a long time coming and I am so looking forward to her wedding day. She, along with other couples, had to postpone their wedding because of Covid and venues being closed. To see her finally here makes me beyond excited for her.
Morgan, I love you sis! Thank you again for wanting me to be a part of this very special day.
