It’s been almost three months since Steven and I said, “I do” with our closest friends and family. It’s embarrassing to admit that I finally had time last week to sit down and design our Thank You Cards from Basic Invite. These babies just came in and I couldn’t be more in love with them. I wish you could reach into this post and feel their silky texture. The paper quality is so unreal.
Although we went with a different company for our invites, I wish I would have known about Basic Invite sooner. As I was designing our cards, I saw that they offer unlimited colors. I love this option because it allows you to personalize your cards to coordinate with your event and is a very important detail to me. There are 180 different color options, which I found is really hard to find in other online stationery companies, and an even harder choice to make for me (I was having too much fun playing with color options).
They don’t just have color options for their cards, they also have 40 different color options for envelopes too. And I’ve gotta say, I love the peel and seal on them so you don’t have to use the old “lick and seal” method. On top of that, their address capturing service was so much easier for me than the last company I used. I’m not the best at spreadsheets, so I was extremely relieved to see that they have template you can download to copy and paste all the names and addresses of the people you’re mailing out to.
I’m one of those people that is extremely detail oriented thanks to my OCD, type A personality, so I really like that once you finish designing your card, you have the option to order a printed sample of your actual invite so you can see what it looks and feels like before you order a ton.
Since our wedding was white and gold, I designed our cards using one of my favorite pictures captured by our photographer. It was one of Steven and I having a moment at our receptions with the backdrop and table setting covered in all white orchids, roses, and hydrangeas. The raised gold foil gave it that extra “umph” it needed to look super elegant and I am so, so happy with them. I can’t wait to have these sent out.
Since we loved our wedding planner so much, I told her we were working on baby #2 just so she can plan the baby shower for us. And because we are planning on baby #2 I couldn’t help but take a peek at their baby shower invitations. Right now, I’m obsessing over their once upon a time baby shower invitations because I can see so many design options for baby boy or baby girl. The runner up I would have to say is, over the moon seal & send because I could see it as a keepsake, sitting on a shelf in a baby room that would match the decor of moons and clouds for either gender.
If you’ve got a special event coming up where you’d like to personalize your invites, right now Basic Invite is offering 15% off using this code: 15FF51.
I think I’ll be using that code for my Christmas cards coming up…
