After being in our new build for almost a year, I’m finally starting to put some final touches in Cayden’s big boy room so I can do a whole bedroom reveal. I was so excited to get some mommy and me pictures hung in his room but was having such a hard time deciding on which ones.
When Cayden was about 9 months we went on our first mommy and me playdate at the Hall of Breakfast (a pop up museum) with my friend and her daughter. Although Cayden couldn’t walk yet, he had so much fun looking at the bright colors that filled the museum from his stroller.
As we walked from room to room, I loved how curious he looked as we entered each theme of every room. He would stare at the giant over easy eggs that covered the floor, play with the colored confetti, and look up at the floating bees that covered the beehive as if he was trying to figure it out.
One of my favorite moments as a mom is watching my little guy experience things for the first time. So my favorite part of that day has to be watching him in the doughnut room. The way he tried to eat the doughnuts without ever having anything but pureed foods was funny to me.
How did he know that was food? They must have looked delicious to him because I kept having to stop him from trying to put them in his mouth.
My second favorite was the ball pit. As I mentioned, he was still not walking so it was really fun for me to be able to play with him in it. I swear my heart did a happy dance watching him giggle and laugh while he kicked his little chunky baby legs around as if he was trying to swim through it.
It hasn’t even been a full year from that day and Cayden is not only walking, he is running at full speed and literally half of my height. My baby won’t be a baby for long so I try to capture every little moment with him and I’m glad that I was able to make a souvenir of our first playdate though SquarePops.
SquarePops prints pictures on metal canvases so that the colors come out more vibrant, shiny, and glossy. I love how easy they make it to print photos straight from your Instagram account too. Not only is the quality beyond amazing, I love that they come with a command strip so that you don’t ruin your walls. The best part is how lightweight they are.
Moms who have toddlers are always worried about what they put in their little’s bedrooms since they’re still exploring by climbing and pulling on things. I’ve been using command strips for a while now and have felt safe with anything I’ve hung. It’s like the best invention EVER. If, by some miracle, Cayden is able to reach them— I know they’re not heavy enough to hurt him.
Now the more that I look at them, I kind of want to hang them in my home office. They came out so amazing and honestly, it’s going to be so hard to go back to regular canvases. I also love how you “pop” the back casing of them and when you place them on the wall, it gives them a 3D affect.
As an owner of online business, I can also appreciate how careful they are with the packaging, as well as, how fast shipping was.
Now for the final decision, will they end up in Cayden’s room or the office?
